The method of employing traditions in Al-Furghan commentary

This paper is seeking to deal with studying the methods of employing traditions in ‘Al-Furghan Fi Tafsir Al-Quran Bel-Quran’ written by Ayatollah Muhammad Sadeghi Tehrani in a methodological approach. His method of interpretation is the Quran by the Quran. This method has been observed all over of this work. However, this method does not prevent employing traditions for understanding the verses as well. The interpretation method employed by  the commentator and his way of dealing with the traditions made him employ   a certain approach. For the commentator, the main criterion is the Quran itself and the traditions play an important role as illustration and they extend the aspects of the verses’ meanings. According to the commentator’s viewpoint, Quran interpretation based on valid traditions is not separated from the interpretation based on the Quran by the Quran, but it has been mentioned that a verse must be initially interpreted by virtue of other verses, and then, it will be interpreted by traditions.
